The senior management of the Bank are very experienced in the Banking and Financial services sectors and have several years of experience in these fields in Zambia and abroad. Our support members of staff are competent with many years of experience in their respective fields.
The Bank has more than 200 employees of which 11 are Heads of Departments. Given below is a brief description of the management team.

Friday C Ndhlovu
Managing Director
B.A (Econ), MSc (Bus Admin, Econ). He has held various senior management positions. He was Managing Director of Zambia National Commercial Bank Limited until 1992. In 1995, he founded Investrust Bank where he served as Executive Chairman up to June 2000 before becoming the Managing Director, the position he holds to date.

Richard Phiri
Deputy Managing Director
MBA, FCCA, FZICA. He has over fifteen years of work experience. He worked for ZCCM, Securities and Exchange Commission, Stanbic Bank, Citi Bank, Investrust Bank (as Head of Credit and Corporate Finance) and Development Bank of Zambia. Prior to his current job, Mr Phiri was the Managing Director of Intermarket Banking Corporation.

Harry Mafuta
Financial Controller
MBA, B.Acc, FCCA, FZICA. More than ten years post qualification experience including seven years of audit experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers specialising in the audit of banks & financial institutions. He has over six years in the banking and financial services industry.

Company Secretary & Legal Counsel
LL.B, ASCZ, ACI. Arb. Five years post qualification experience including stints in private legal practice and a managerial position at National Savings and Credit Bank in the Legal Department.

Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers with nearly 20 years of banking experience. He has held several portfolios with Barclays Bank, Zambia National Commercial Bank prior to joining Investrust Bank Plc

Head Treasury
He is a chartered Accountant (ACCA) with 17 years banking experience. Prior to joining Investrust Bank Plc he worked at Standard Chartered Bank Zambia as Head of Global Markets. He is also a member of ACI and ZICA.

Head Public Sector & Non Profit Institutions
MBA (I) an all round banker with over 30 years experience with a bias towards credit and public sector business. Has worked for Standard Chartered Bank, Meridien BIAO, Finance Bank and Commerce Bank.

James Kapesa
Head Corporate & Retail Banking
B.Acc, ACMA. Holder of a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree, he is a Chartered Management Accountant with nearly 12 years of work experience. Worked for Industrial Credit Company limited (ICC) and set up the Lusaka branch. Prior to joining Investrust Bank Plc, he worked for Stanbic Bank Zambia Limited holding senior roles both in vehicle & asset finance and corporate & structured finance portfolios.

Suresh Kambete
Head Risk Management & Training
B.Com, LLB, CAIIB. Total 36 years of banking experience in various fields like Risk Management, International Banking, Credit, Treasury and branch banking. Work experience includes working in countries like USA, Hong Kong, UK and Zambia for almost 12 years besides India for 24 years. Prior to joining Investrust Bank, Suresh was working at Indo-Zambia Bank for four years, where he was in charge of the Risk Management department and additionally was responsible for Audit and Inspection department.

Holds a National Accounting Technician diploma. He has over twenty seven years of banking experience at all levels of bank operations (finance, credit, international trade, operations and foreign operations).

Chenga Chisha
Head Compliance & Controls
MBA laureate (Herriot Watt - UK). A fellow of IMIS (UK) with over 35 years experience of which 33 years have been in the banking industry including Barclays Bank International, Zambia National Commercial Bank and Bank of Zambia. Worked as Head of IT for many years and as a Senior Inspector of banks and non bank financial institutions at the Bank of Zambia.

Shadrick Banda
Head Internal Audit
Associate member of ACCA and ZICA. He holds two Diplomas in Auditing and Public Sector Accounting. Worked for Intermarket Banking Corporation as Head of Internal Audit, the Foundation for International Community Assistance (FINCA) in the same capacity and has wide experience after working as an External Auditor for the Zambian Office of the Auditor General.
